Our lodge is located approximately 120 miles from Missoula, Montana, and 140 miles from Spokane, Washington. Hunters can fly in to either Spokane or Missoula. Car rentals are available at either airport
Our hunting area covers the Northwest corner of Montana, in National Forest. We are permitted on the Cabinet Ranger District (Kootenai National Forest) and the Thompson Falls/Plains District (Lolo National Forest). Most of this area burned in 1910, and other parts burned in 1930. Our area is mostly timber coverage with some brush fields and past logged off areas. On the North side of the Cabinet District, we have the Cabinet wilderness area with no roads and few trails for access. As we live close to this area, we will use horses to access some of the wilderness. We also use horses in other parts of our hunting area. Otherwise we use 4x4 pickups with most of our hunting on foot. Both the Cabinet and Thompson/Plains Districts are arge areas with not very much hunting pressure.
