The Black Bear Hunt is a 5 day hunt out of the Lodge, with two hunters per guide. All meals and lodging are included.
The bear begin coming out of hibernation in the early part of April. We start our Spring bear hunts the last part of April. As soon as the snow is melting up high, the grass below begins to green up. This provides plenty of feed for the bear to graze on in the open country and along logging roads. This is some of the most breathtaking scenery you will ever see, with snow still on the high peaks and bear feeding on the lush green grass below.
We hunt logging roads, mostly behind closed gates. The bear hunt is by 4x4, mountain bike, or foot. The success rate on our Montana guided bear hunts is 95%!
